Willow’s condition was a very rare form of a rare bone disease called Malignant Infantile Osteopetrosis.

Often referred to as Marble Bone. The Osteoclasts do not work to break down old bone there fore new bone grows on top. Causing bones to easily fracture as well as close in on nerves and organs causing the sufferrer to go deaf and blind and eventually paralysed if not treated with a bone marrow/stem cell transplant. Life expectancy is 10 years old with most children not surviving past 2.
